AEC webinar 31.1.2025: Exploring new Learning & Teaching methods in times of digitisation

Join the Teaching and Learning Webinar (ARTEMIS) on Friday, 31 January 2025, for insightful presentations and discussions on music education with renowned speakers and diverse perspectives. The webinar will take place on Zoom on Friday 31st January 2025 from 10:00 CET to 11:30 CET.

Speakers

We are pleased to confirm the contribution of the following speakers:

  • Philip Ahner, Vice President and Professor of Music Education in the Context of Digital Media at the Landeszentrum MUSIK–DESIGN–PERFORMANCE of University of Music Trossingen, who will address current developments in the field of artistic and artistic-pedagogical music study programmes and music teacher training at his university;
  • Susanne van Els, Head of Music (Directrice) at the Conservatoire National Supérieur Musique et Danse de Lyon (CNSMD) who will reflect on the work of the AEC Learning & Teaching Working Group (2017-2021) and how the current reform of the Master of Music programmes in her institution has built on this work – from underlying principles to day-to-day pedagogical and managerial developmental processes;
  • Siri Storheim, freelance musician and teacher, former student representative member of the AEC Learning & Teaching Working Group, who will share a student’s perspective on Learning & Teaching issues, as well as respond to the preceding input.

The workshop will be introduced by Finn Schumacker, AEC Director and moderated by Stefan Gies, AEC Senior Adviser.
