The format of the following journals included in the Uniarts Library collections chanced from printed to electronic from the beginning of 2026:

International Piano presents player interviews, features on the piano greats of yesteryear, instrument makers and the rising stars of today, plus masterclasses, discographies, reviews and the latest international news.

Journal of the Lute Society of America is an open access scholarly refereed journal and has been published annually since 1968. It is one of the foremost international publications of research and scholarship concerning all aspects of the lute, lute music, and all related early plucked instruments and contains articles by eminent researchers from throughout the world.

Journal of the Royal Musical Association was established in 1986 and is now one of the major international refereed journals in its field. Its editorial policy is to publish outstanding work in the field of music studies, broadly conceived including historical and critical musicology, theory and analysis, ethnomusicology, popular music studies, music pedagogy, audiovisual media, and practice-led research.

Lighting + sound international Since 1985, Light & Sound International (LSi) has been the leading publication serving the broad range of the entertainment, presentation and events industries. Familiar to thousands of entertainment technology professionals worldwide, LSi offers the best coverage of entertainment technology in all its forms, including theatre, live touring, clubs, themed venues, corporate events and presentations, as well as technical reviews of the products and in-depth profiles of the people and companies who make it all possible.

Modern drama was founded in 1958 and is the most prominent journal in English to focus on dramatic literature. The journal features refereed articles that enhance our understanding of plays in both formal and historical terms, largely treating literature of the past two centuries from diverse geo-political contexts, as well as an extensive book review section.

Musurgia Founded in 1994 by André Riotte, Musurgia is the journal of the French Society for Musical Analysis. It covers music theory and analysis in French and English through peer-reviewed articles. It addresses various topics, from historical musical analysis to practical applications, promoting interdisciplinary dialogue.

Research in dance education includes contributors from a wide and diverse, international community of researchers. The journal encourages a wide range of research approaches and methods, in a forum for debate. All research articles in this journal have undergone rigorous peer review, based on initial editor screening and anonymized refereeing by at least two anonymous referees.

Soundboard is the official quarterly magazine of the Guitar Foundation of America. In each issue, you’ll find scholarly articles, interviews with some of the guitar’s foremost personalities, CD and book reviews, publications, guitar community news, and much more.

Tate Etc is an arts magazine produced within Britain’s Tate organisation of arts and museums. As well as being sold in shops, the magazine is sent for free to Tate members.

The Drama Review TDR provides scholarship on performances and their social, economic and political contexts. With an emphasis on the experimental, avant-garde, intercultural and interdisciplinary, it covers dance theatre, performance art, popular entertainment, media, sports, rituals and performance in politics and everyday life.

Theatre journal Over seven decades, Theatre Journal has achieved an international reputation as one of the most significant publications of theatre and performance studies today. The journal features scholarly articles that are at the cutting edge of theatre, dance, and performance studies; focusing on historiographical, cultural, and/or theoretical analyses in both national and transnational contexts. All issues include book and performance reviews.

The Wire : adventures in modern music is the world’s leading independent monthly music magazine.
