Cross-institutional studies for Uniarts students

As a student of Uniarts Helsinki, you can take advantage of the opportunities offered by cross-institutional studies (RIPA) and complete courses included in your degree at other Finnish higher education institutions. Cross-institutional studies offer flexibility, a broader range of courses, and the chance to deepen your expertise through networks that suit your interests.

What are cross-institutional studies?

Cross-institutional studies allow you to complete degree-related courses at another Finnish university or university of applied sciences through agreements between Uniarts Helsinki and partnering institutions. The study right is temporary and applies only to the courses for which you have been accepted.

In which networks can you study?

There are several collaboration networks available, including for example:

  • Climate University – studies on sustainability and societal change
  • FITech – courses in technology, digitalization, AI, leadership, and the sustainability transition (registration via Opintopolku)
  • Hilma – studies in gender studies and feminist pedagogy
  • KiVANET – language studies from A1 to C1 levels
  • Creative Entrepreneur – cross-institutional study tray – entrepreneurship studies for the creative sector

The course offering is continuously updated, and some courses will become visible later in Peppi and on the cross-institutional studies page in the Student Uniarts portal.

When will new courses become available?

Uniarts Helsinki’s own RIPA offering will be expanded during spring 2026, and registration for new courses will open for the autumn semester 2026
