Extended deadline; submit your programme proposal for 36th World Conference of ISME by 13 October!
The 36th ISME World Conference is organized in Helsinki, Finland from 28 July to 2 August 2024.
Carrying the theme Advocacy for Sustainability in Music Education, the conference aims to foster global understanding and co-operation among music and arts educators around the world.
By strengthening ties and sharing ideas about diverse aspects and issues within music and arts education, the conference helps to promote music and the arts worldwide for people of all ages. It provides a platform that invites music education scholars, educators, and other stakeholders to ask questions, imagine ways forward, and create new partnerships for change. The conference will open avenues to explore a sphere of possibilities for pursuing and advocating for sustainability in and through music education.
Call for submissions ends on 13 October
Registration to the event will open in January 2024 and the call for programme proposals is open to ISME members. Proposals for papers, posters, symposia, workshops, and performances for the conference are invited from participants worldwide. ISME encourages submissions that align with the conference theme Advocacy for Sustainability in Music Education from researchers and practitioners at all career stages including graduate students and early career professionals.
Please note that you must be an ISME member to submit a proposal.

- Pre-conference seminars submission closes November 1st, 2023, acceptances by February 28th, 2024
