Next steps in vision work: the community’s feedback will be discussed in March

Uniarts Helsinki’s vision compilation work has progressed as planned. The university has organised workshops with participants from and outside the university community to gather views on Uniarts Helsinki’s values, relevance and future direction.

A total of about 150 people participated in the workshops, and the input given by the community and stakeholders forms a key basis for our values and purpose-driven vision. The Board of Uniarts Helsinki discussed the vision and strategy work as a whole at its February meeting. Their comments guide the further preparation of the vision work.

Next, Uniarts Helsinki’s executive group discussed the feedback at its meeting on 18 March. In addition, the vision work will be presented at the joint meeting of the academy boards on Monday 30 March.

The community will be invited to comment on the draft vision and the related description formulation in April after Easter. The aim is to ensure that Uniarts Helsinki’s future vision is built on broad community participation and a shared understanding of the significance and mission of the university.

A warm thank you to everyone who participated in the vision work and shared their views. The active contribution of the community is crucial as we build the future direction of Uniarts Helsinki together.
