Avoid queues by following the designated lunch breaks in the Kookos restaurant
Lunch time rush has been a major issue during peak hours at the Food & Co Restaurant in Kookos on the Sörnäinen Campus. To make the lunch break more pleasant and less chaotic for everyone, we would like to remind students of the agreed-on staggered lunch times.
Recommendation about staggered lunch times at the Sörnäinen campus restaurant in 2026–27
The lunch times of students who receive group instruction at the Theatre Academy or the Academy of Fine Arts are staggered between 11:05 and 13:20.
The academies review the lunch times each academic year, and the aim is to take programme-specific special characteristics into consideration in the staggering. Students of the Theatre Academy can check their recommended lunch times in their academic schedules.
Students who are working independently or who receive one-to-one teaching are advised to have lunch at some other time than between noon and 13:00, if their personal schedules allow it.
