Theatre Academy students, you may need a new access tag to enter the Theatre Academy facilities 

Access control in the Theatre Academy’s Kookos property will be renewed this spring. After the upgrades, the same access control tags that work in other Uniarts Helsinki locations will work on the doors in Kookos, too.  

If you already have a black Uniarts Helsinki access control tag that works on the doors in Mylly, the N Building and the R Building, you do not have to do anything. Your black access tag will start working on the doors in Kookos, too, once the updates have been done. 

If you only have an old grey access control tag that works on the doors at Kookos, you need to pick up a new tag from the Kookos info desk. The opening hours of the info desk are: 08:00 – 21:30 on weekdays. Preparing the access control tag takes about five minutes, but please note that you may need to queue. 

The new system will be introduced in phases. This is why during the transition period, some of the doors require using the old tag, while some can be opened with the new tag. Between 22 April and 15 May, you will need to carry two access control tags with you to be able to enter all places in the building.  

In problem situations, attendants will come and open the doors. The attendants’ on-call number is: 0294 47 4407. 

Once the work has been completed, the old access tags will not be needed anymore, and they can be left at the info desk or disposed of as mixed waste.
