Uniarts Helsinki recruits Student Ambassadors for 2025
University of the Arts Helsinki (Uniarts Helsinki) is now recruiting hourly-paid Student Ambassadors for our Student Ambassador programme. For 2025 we intend to recruit 1–5 new Ambassadors per academy to join the Ambassador team, currently consisting of 13 ambassadors.
For the Academy of Fine Arts, we are looking for one new ambassador from any programme. Both international students and Finnish students are welcome to apply. In order to best supplement the academy’s current team of ambassadors, being a fluent Finnish or Swedish speaker is considered an advantage, but not necessary.
For the Sibelius Academy, we are looking for approximately five new ambassadors from any programme. Both international students and Finnish students are welcome to apply. In order to best supplement the academy’s current team of ambassadors, Swedish speaking skills are considered an advantage, but not necessary.
For the Theatre Academy, we are looking for approximately three new ambassadors from any programme. In order to best supplement the academy’s current team of ambassadors, being from a programme other than the master’s programme in Dance or Choreography is considered an advantage, but not necessary. Both international students and Finnish students are welcome to apply.
The working period for new ambassadors is 1.1.–30.6.2025. Ambassadors who do not graduate in the summer 2025 will have the chance to renew their contract for the autumn term.
The objectives of the programme are to:
- have our own students represent the academies outside the university community
- support the services of the academies (admissions services, communications etc.)
- offer our students practical training/work experience opportunities
Tasks and responsibilities
The tasks of the Ambassadors vary according to the represented academy and the interests and capabilities of the Ambassador. Tasks are assigned to the ambassadors by the programme manager and the academies’ contact persons.
Annual tasks for ambassadors from all three academies are the following
- Answering email inquiries from potential applicants
- Content creation (e.g. Instagram videos, takeovers, blog posts)
- Conducting campus tours (online and on-site)
- Taking part in student recruitment events
Other tasks may include for example
- Communications and marketing support
- International office support
- Assisting in events
- Assisting in entrance examinations
- Assisting with the new students’ orientation period
- Other assisting tasks
What we expect from you
- Attending degree student in KuvA/SibA/TeaK
- Fluent in English, additional languages are a plus
- Excellent interaction skills
- Great written and oral communication skills
- Responsible
- Conscientious and meticulous
- Self-starter
- Content creation skills (video editing etc.) are a plus
- Performance skills are a plus
In addition, the formation of a diverse group of ambassadors is considered – regarding language, cultural background, gender, age, study programme, stage of studies, etc.

- 26.11. and 28.11. at 9-12 at the Academy of Fine Arts
- 28.11. afternoon and evening at the Theatre academy
- 5.12. at the Sibelius Academy
