Impro Meet – Music Beyond Borders!
We are offering a unique opportunity to virtually connect two educational institutions.
Come and experience an improvisation session where participants are in different countries. At Impro Meet, students and teachers from the Norwegian Academy of Music and Sibelius Academy come together.
We use top-quality MVTP equipment, which enables real-time video-based ensemble playing between the two educational institutions via the internet. It’s just like having your playing partner in the same room!
What will happen?
- We will organize a total of four sessions. Each session will feature one musician from each educational institution.
- The first three sessions are for students and the fourth is for teachers.
- Each session will last 35 minutes. There will also be a host at the event.
- The first 10 people to register will be able to watch the sessions in the studio. Make sure you reserve your spot in time! The registration link will open on this page on Monday, January 12 2026, at 9 am.
When and how?
- Choose one of the four sessions and register to listen.
- Sessions always begin on the hour
- There will be a break between sessions to allow technicians to prepare for the next session. Please arrive well in advance of the session start time.
