Cross-institutional studies for Uniarts students

Cross-institutional studies are studies that students include in their degree but complete at some other Finnish university. Check out the selection and our instructions for completing these courses.

Students complete cross-institutional studies through Finnish higher education networks or by completing individual study units. For the most part, networks are field-specific, which is why students of different fields have access to different cross-institutional studies.

Students register for cross-institutional studies the same way as they do for other studies, via their personal study plan (PSP).

Cross-institutional right to study

Students are granted the right to study based on agreements signed by higher education institutions. They can only register for studies that the higher education institutions have agreed to include in the cross-institutional selection.

Completing studies at another institution requires that the student has a valid right to study at their home institution and that they have registered as attending. A student completing cross-institutional studies is granted a fixed-term right to study at another Finnish institution and during this time, they can only complete the cross-institutional studies that they have been admitted to.
