Participating in the Junior Academy matinees and concerts
As a student of the Junior Academy, you will have the opportunity to perform regularly. See how to sign up for concert activities.
Classical music matinees and concerts
As a rule, you should sign up for the Junior Academy matinees via the Taito channel at the latest on the Thursday of the week preceding the concert. You may sign up yourself or ask your teacher to sign you up for a matinee. Remember to agree on a performance with your own teacher before signing up!
The Taito channel link will be updated here soon.
We will not accept signing up by phone or via e-mail. Signing up should be considered binding – please do not cancel except in cases of illness or similar force majeur situation. Please note that the Camerata student matinees in the Taito channel are not intended for Junior Academy students. Instead, you may take part in your own teacher’s student matinee upon agreement.
Jazz Music, Folk Music and Global Music students
Discuss signing up for matinees arranged by your department with your instrument teacher and the coordinating teacher. There is no need to fill in a separate registration form.
If you wish to attend the classical music matinees (see above) with a solo performance, you are welcomed to do so if there is room. In this case, please sign up for the matinee via Taito channel.
Recording and publication consent at the Junior Academy
By signing the recording and publication consent form, you give Uniarts Helsinki’s Sibelius Academy your consent to record you in the matinees included in your studies at the Junior Academy or in other performances, and to use photographs and videos of you in marketing and publishing activities in printed and electronic media without compensation.
The material recorded in the Junior Academy matinees may be published on the Uniarts Helsinki website, social media channels or YouTube. The name of the person depicted may be mentioned when the photograph or video is published.
An underage student’s recording and publication consent (filled in by the student’s guardian) is valid until the student turns 18 or stops studying at the Junior Academy, unless they revoke their consent separately.
An adult student’s recording and publication consent (filled in by the student) is valid until the student stops studying at the Junior Academy, unless they revoke their consent separately. You may revoke your consent at any time by sending an e-mail message to study services of Uniarts Helsinki’s Sibelius Academy’ Junior Academy to: siba.nuorisokoulutus@uniarts.fi
NOTE! Please remember that you are not allowed to record any concert events or other events related to teaching, even for your personal use, unless you have verified beforehand that all persons to be recorded have turned in their recording and publication consents.
Please fill in the recording consent form immediately after starting your studies at the Junior Academy. Download the recording and publication consent form (in Finnish).
