Engage chat platform
An internal discussion platform for the university, where you can announce an event or exhibition and have a discussion on any topic. On the discussion platform, you can reach all students and employees.
Using the discussion platform
On the discussion platform, you will find topic-specific channels where you can, for example, share event advertisements, engage in social discussion or publish a rental advertisement.
All students and staff are automatically part of the Everyone channel. You can also join other channels if you wish.
Channels
- Everyone – a communication channel for the entire community
- Art and collaboration – share event ads and invite other students to collaborate
- Marketplace – sublet an apartment or sell items you no longer need
- Open calls and job opportunities – share announcements from external parties about grants, residencies, job opportunities
- Societal topics – discuss societal topics
- Random – everything random
Login
Log in to Engage with your Uniarts Helsinki username, which consists of three letters and five numbers (abc12345).
Engage can also be found on the left side of Teams in the top button. You can also download the app to your phone. You can find it in your phone’s app store.
If you’re having trouble logging in or downloading the app to your phone, contact IT support.
How to edit your notification settings
Viva Engage may send daily email digests. You can turn them off in the settings.
- Access Engage via Teams. Do not use a browser.
- Click on the three-dot menu next to your name on the left and select Settings
- Go to Notifications
- Turn off unwanted notifications, for example the daily or weekly digest
