Get inspired by studies in the arts at Uniarts Helsinki’s Open University next spring!

Uniarts Helsinki’s Open University offers a broad and inspiring selection of courses in the fields of music, performing arts, writing and professional competence in the arts and cultural sector in spring 2026. The wide variety of courses gives you the perfect chance to try something new, pursue an artistic hobby or enhance your career skills.

Discover your own learning and expression method

This spring, students are invited to refine their voice control and performance skills, gain fresh perspectives on their artistic practice and increase their practical expertise as professionals.

The Voice and Speech course (2 cr) provides students with tools for controlling their voice and honing their expression – skills that are useful both on stage and in everyday life. A course named Performing Arts for Children, about Children, or with Children (2 cr) explores the possibilities of performing arts when the performance is created together with children or when it is aimed at children.

Music enthusiasts and music professionals alike have various suitable course options to choose from. The Children’s Music course develops understanding and insight into children’s music. The Music Education for Seniors course provides tools for channeling emotions through music.  The course Laulava näyttelijä – näyttelevä laulaja focuses on singing and stage skills, making it the perfect course for a performer who wants to evolve on both of these fronts at the same time.

Next spring, students can also explore various work- and career-oriented courses that support the knowhow of artists and professionals in the cultural sector in ever-changing work environments. Course topics include project management, communications, entrepreneurship and copyrights.

The application period for spring courses starts on 18 November and ends on 9 December.
