Uniarts Helsinki’s Open University offers a versatile selection of studies in music, fine arts, theatre and dance as well as studies in entrepreneurship and career skills that are suited for the arts sector.
Open University studies give students the opportunity to see what university-level studies in the arts are like, to expand their professional skills or to discover a new inspiring activity in the arts under the tutelage of the best possible experts. The application period for Uniarts Helsinki’s Open University studies taking place in the spring will begin on 19 November 2024. Make sure to check for possible course-specific registration deadlines and instructions.
In spring 2025, Open University students can choose from a wide range of topics, including physical comedy, music education for seniors, artistic research, creative interaction skills and the history and basics of various artistic fields. The selection also includes studies in entrepreneurship and career skills aimed at the arts sector.

Uniarts Helsinki’s Open University offers studies and services that promote working life skills to professionals in the independent arts sector without charging any course fees.
Uniarts Helsinki’s alumni who have graduated after 1 August 2020 also have the right to complement their studies free of charge at Uniarts Helsinki’s Open University within two years of their graduation.
