Occupational safety and health walk to Helsinki Music Centre concert halls on 2 June 2025

The various buildings of the Uniarts Helsinki are subject to regular checks for the purpose of identifying and assessing potential risk factors.

The next target is Helsinki Music Centre, for which the evaluation and tour of the building, the “safety walk”, will take place on Monday 2 June at 9-11:30. We focus especially on the working environment of concert halls and their support functions.

Students and employees wishing to draw attention to certain issues relating to safety and wellbeing for the purpose of the evaluation are kindly requested to contact the following people ahead of time:

  • employees: occupational safety representative Vilma Timonen, p.0407104326, vilma.timonen@uniarts.fi
  • students: Kaisa Suninen, kaisa.suninen@uniarts.fi

Representatives of both employer and employees always participate in the safety visit, along with a representative of the facility services. Representatives of occupational healthcare, student healthcare and student representatives may also participate as well as representatives of the other employees, or superiors.

Safety walk – what is it?

An essential aspect of occupational safety is to identify potential elements of danger and assess risks. Here at Uniarts Helsinki, we carry out visits to each facility for the purpose of identifying any significant elements of risk that require immediate action, as well as suggesting measures to reduce the most significant risks.

The representatives of both employer and employees always participate in the safety visit, along with a representative of the facility services. Representatives of occupational healthcare and student representatives may also participate as well as other employees or superiors.
