Registration to the 36th ISME World Conference is now open
Join us when world music educators gather in Helsinki in July 2024!
The University of the Arts Helsinki is hosting the 36th World Conference of the International Society for Music Education (ISME) in Helsinki from July 28 to August 2, 2024. The theme of the event is promoting sustainability through music education and by means of music education.
Come to envision prospects and form new partnerships to change the world! At the event, you will have the opportunity to strengthen your international networks and share ideas on the potential of music and arts education to enhance the significance of music and the arts in the lives of people of all ages.

Registration is open until 1 July 2024.
As a participant in the music education field in Finland, you can also attend the conference for one or two days (participation for one day €100, two days €180, student participation €60/day). These prices do not require ISME membership.

The biennial ISME World Conference is one of the key events in the world for the teaching and research of the arts. The International Society for Music Education (ISME) was founded at the initiative of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) in Brussels in 1953. The organization represents about 80 member countries worldwide, and its core idea is that experiencing music in various forms is an important part of life.
