The global situation in our daily lives
The global political situation is escalating, and military actions both in the Middle East and Ukraine are claiming far too many victims at the moment. Many students and staff members at Uniarts Helsinki have loved ones who suffer from the war – on various sides of the political divide. Regardless of which side of the conflict people’s loved ones are, sadness and distress over them is justified.
“There are members in our community who have loved ones, colleagues or other networks in the conflict areas. It’s important that we work together to make sure that everyone can find Uniarts Helsinki a safe environment, regardless of what each person’s personal background and relationship to these crises is. Human need and suffering touches us all,” says Rector Kaarlo Hildén.
There is no need to deal with pain and distress alone. If you need someone to talk to, our university chaplain is at your service. Contact details and more information.
