Updates to the scholarship programme related to tuition fees
The Rector has decided to update the scholarship programme related to tuition fees so that starting from the autumn term of 2025, only 50% tuition fee waivers will be granted from the programme. As a rule, waivers are still granted only for the target study time of the degree. At the same time, the Rector also decided that the scholarship programme only applies to students starting before 1.8.2026, and that the validity of the scholarship programme ends no later than 31.7.2030.
At its May meeting, the University Board authorized the Rector to update the scholarship programme related to the university’s tuition fees. At the same time, the Board decided to increase tuition fees as of 1.1.2025. The tuition fee will remain unchanged for students who have started their studies at Uniarts Helsinki before 1.1.2025. In other words, their tuition fee will remain at €5,000 per year for the duration of their statutory right to complete a degree.
