To eat, or not to eat? an open interview with Aalto Foodsharing on 20 March at Uniarts Helsinki

to eat, or not to eat?
What is your relationship with food and food waste?

On 20 March Thursday evening 19h-21h, new Master’s of Directing student Chong Gua Khee is organising an ‘open interview’ with folks from Aalto Foodsharing at Tori in the Theatre Academy. Aalto Foodsharing is a student-led initiative that collaborates with local supermarkets and restaurants to reduce food waste through their community fridge, and in this session, Gua Khee will be speaking with two members from the initiative about their personal journeys with food waste and food rescue, and also about their experience with Aalto Foodsharing.

There will be some rescue food for sharing at this session, and audiences are welcome to join in and ask questions too, or just enjoy the food and listen. All ways of being present are welcome!

How to join?

Time: Thursday 20 March 2025 at 19h-21h (you are welcome to drop by and leave anytime)

Place: Tori at Uniarts Helsinki’s Theatre Academy (Haapaniemenkatu 6, 00530 Helsinki)

If you are planning to come, please register your interest at bit.ly/toeatornottoeat20Mar by 19th Mar Wednesday, so that the team can adjust the portions of rescue food to bring.

Do also note that there will be audio recordings and some photos taken for archival and possible usage in the final art work. If you are not comfortable with either/both, please let Gua Khee know on the day itself and the team will be mindful to turn off the recorder if you speak and/or avoid including you in photos of the session (or that it’s only your back profile)!
