Sibelius Academy examination committee members
On this page, you can find information about the composition of the examination committees as well as the members of all examination committees.
Selection of committee members
Committee members are primarily teachers employed by the Sibelius Academy.
Depending on the discretion of the head of the subject group, the committees may also include:
- Sibelius Academy postgraduate students
- Persons outside the Sibelius Academy, or
- Teachers of instruments or subjects other than the one in question
The head of the subject group or degree programme is responsible for ensuring that those selected as committee members have sufficient expertise and familiarity with the duties of the committee. If necessary, the head may serve as a member or chairperson in all examinations within their subject group. In urgent cases, the chairperson of the committee may also supplement the committee. In such cases, the chairperson is responsible for ensuring that the additional member has sufficient expertise and familiarity with the duties.
