Sibelius Academy examination committee members
On this page, you can find information about the composition of the examination committees as well as the members of all examination committees.
Selection of committee members
Committee members are primarily teachers employed by the Sibelius Academy.
Depending on the discretion of the head of the department, the committees may also include:
- Sibelius Academy licentiate/doctoral students
- Persons outside the Sibelius Academy, or
- Teachers of instruments or subjects other than the one in question
The head of the department or degree programme is responsible for ensuring that those selected as committee members have sufficient expertise and familiarity with the duties of the committee. If necessary, the head may serve as a member or chair in all examinations within their department. In urgent cases, the chair of the committee, too, may supplement the committee. In such cases, the chair is responsible for ensuring that the additional member has sufficient expertise and familiarity with the duties.
