For Orchestra Education students
Instructions, advice and guidance for orchestral instrument students at the Sibelius Academy.
Start of studies
A compulsory kick-off event for new students will be held on Wed 4th of September 2024 6pm-7.30pm at Camerata Hall.
Planning and completing studies
The studies of orchestral instruments include participation in various orchestra and opera projects. During the academic year, we produce projects for various ensembles: 3-4 symphony orchestras, 1 symphonic wind orchestra and 2 smaller wind ensembles, opera orchestra and chamber orchestra. In addition to these, coaching for ensemble playing is provided for first-year bachelor students, and wind instrument players can familiarise themselves with orchestral literature in their own study units.
