Disruption in Digital Services

Published 24 June 2026:

The University of the Arts Helsinki is currently experiencing a disruption in its digital services, which is affecting the availability of some study-related services.

The disruption particularly affects file services. Students are currently unable to access their personal files (home directories) or shared network drives. In addition, some course-related services (e.g. network drives) and applications (server-based working environments) are not opening normally.

The outage also affects key student information systems. The disruption impacts at least Peppi (student services), Oili (academic year enrolment), and the Kandipalaute feedback system. Tuudo and room reservations made through Tuudo are functioning normally.

Cloud services are operating normally. Email (Outlook), Teams, and OneDrive remain available.

The situation is currently being investigated together with technical experts. Our goal is to restore services as quickly as possible. We will provide further updates as soon as more information becomes available.

The disruption is related to the relocation of server equipment carried out on 23 June from CSC’s Keilaniemi data center to the University of the Arts Helsinki’s facilities at Kookos. The relocation has caused interruptions to network connections and services. We apologize for the inconvenience this disruption may cause to students and their studies.
