Student feedback guides the development of Tuudo – active usage, with improvement requests focused on room booking
According to the user survey conducted among University of the Arts Helsinki students in spring 2026, Tuudo continues to be an active part of students’ daily lives. The application has approximately 2,400 monthly users, and 84% of respondents use it at least once a day. Students consider the student ID, room booking, timetable, library services, and study record tracking to be the most important features.
The survey also highlighted several development requests. Students particularly wish to see improvements to room booking, a clearer timetable view, better language support, and more opportunities to customize the application according to their own needs. Other requests included making the personal study plan (HOPS) visible in Tuudo and providing easier access to Moodle and email.
At the University of the Arts Helsinki, room booking plays a key role in supporting students’ daily studies. The survey results were partly influenced by the Tuudo update introduced in autumn 2025. Following the update, a significant amount of student feedback was received, especially regarding changes to room booking functionality. This was also reflected in lower user satisfaction and in the strong emphasis on improving the room booking service in students’ development requests.
