Students can book the Theatre Academy Tori stage for their demos

Uniarts Helsinki students can book a time slot for their performances on the Tori noticeboard. Students can also promote their course-related demos and other events on the same noticeboard.

Students can book the Theatre Academy’s Tori stage for “lunch demos” every other Wednesday from 12:00 to 13:00 during teaching weeks this autumn term. The stage’s sound system will be available for students’ use, but no other support services will be provided for the performances. The microphones, mixer and instructions needed for the sound system can be collected from the info desk.

Students can book the stage for themselves by writing their name and possible additional information next to a specific Wednesday on the calendar. The calendar is put up on the big rusty metal wall next to the stage.

Promote course demos

Next to the booking calendar for lunch demos, there is a calendar that students and teachers in charge of courses can use for promoting course demos that are open to other students. Write down what is happening and where on the calendar.

The third calendar is for sharing other invitations with the community.

The idea to use the Tori stage for lunch demos and to set up a notice board for promoting demos came up at the Theatre Academy Community Day for students and staff last academic year.

Performances that take place in the Theatre Academy facilities and that are related to thesis projects and courses are promoted in the event calendar on the Uniarts Helsinki website, just like before.
