Summer 2026 opening hours at Uniarts Helsinki

Uniarts Helsinki facilities have exceptional opening hours during the summer, and service availability is limited. On Wednesday 17 June, the Facilities Services team will have a team day, and for example porter services will be very limited on that day. At Kookos, security personnel will cover duties for that day.

The autumn semester teaching at Uniarts Helsinki begins on 3 August.

Below you will find more detailed information on summer schedules at our campuses.

Building opening hours

Buildings will be closed to external visitors from Midsummer, starting Friday 19 June, but Uniarts Helsinki key access will function as usual every day of the year. You must leave the buildings by 24.00.

Campuses will return to normal opening hours from 3 August.

Attendant services

Attendants will only handle on-call duties on weekdays from 10.00 to 15.00. Information desks are closed on weekends.

Cleaning

Cleaning services will be reduced during weeks 26–31. During this period, special cleaning work will also be carried out across Uniarts Helsinki.

Maintenance work and renovations

At Kookos, electrical and AV work will be carried out in rooms KO-709 and KO-701 from 22 June to 31 July, and toilet/dressing room renovations will take place on the 5th and 6th floors from 22 June to 31 August.

Please use the dressing rooms on the 4th floor.

The Kookos Tori flooring will be upgraded starting from week 26 in the Pikkutori area (in front of studio 4) and the C stairwell area.

At Mylly, construction of an exhibition wall on the 2nd floor will take place from 1 July to 31 July, and rooms K-238 and K-334 will be altered from 22 June to 31 July.
