The Reflecting the Political dialogue series continues this autumn as part of the Performing the Political research project (funded by the Research Council of Finland).
We warmly invite Sibelius Academy students, teachers and staff to join a conversation exploring the political, societal, and ecological dimensions of music and musicianship.
Reflecting the political #4: Music and Exile
How do displacement and exile shape music, artistic identities, and the role of musicians in society?The discussion will feature:
- Maria Konoshenko, researcher and musician
- Lukas Stasevskij, cellist and filmmaker
- Vasilis Katopodis, Head of the Global Music Department, Sibelius Academy
Come to listen, reflect, and take part in the dialogue. The event will also feature live music. Refreshments and light snacks will be served.
