Uniarts is participating in students’ mental health week 8.-14.4.2024

Uniarts Helsinki is participating in students’ mental health week which is organized 8.-14.4.

The mental health week is coordinated by the students’ well-being network. The campaign’s purpose is to bring attention to mental health as the cornerstone of well-being and to reduce stigma around it. This year’s theme is equality and social accessibility. In addition, Uniarts’ own theme is social cohesion.

How can we increase social cohesion?

The feeling of social cohesion can be increased even with small actions. We encourage the Uniarts community to take action by following our campaign on the info screens. During the mental health week, the info screens will display daily tasks, through which students and staff can participate in increasing the feeling of cohesion.

Come share your thoughts on equality and social accessibility!

Wednesday 10.4. is Uniarts’ own campaign day. The Theatre Academy’s Tori and Agora in Musiikkitalo will have thought walls where you can share your thoughts on the themes of the week, discuss the topics and meet other students.

The events are held at the Theatre Academy’s Tori at 11.30–13.00 and in Musiikkitalo’s Agora at 14.00–15.30. In Agora we will also be celebrating the opening of the renewed space.

University chaplain Lisa Enckell, study psychologists Volkan Topal and Sanna Vuorinen and the Student Union will be present at the events.
