How to get an access control tag to our facilities

The university uses access control tags to ensure smooth access to facilities for students on campuses. Find out how you can get the access control tag that is correct for your particular student status.

Access control tags for degree students and exchange students

Access control tags are handed over at the info desks of campus buildings after showing proof of identity. If you are a new student, pick up your access control tag in August or January at the info desk of the building where most of your studies will take place. After picking up the access control tag, you will receive an email confirmation of the handover.

If you need access control tags to access other buildings, you can contact an attendant to receive more information.

Information on the student and their degree programme and the programme’s duration is transferred automatically from the Peppi student information system to the access control system. After this, attendants assign the correct access rights.

Junior Academy students

The student receives the access control tag from an attendant after presenting an access control tag form signed by their guardian. The student’s parent receives a confirmation email stating that the access control tag has been handed over to the student. A picture of the signed form is saved to the key management system, but the student keeps the original form.
