Opening hours of Uniarts Helsinki buildings during May Day 2026

News

University’s buildings will be open during May Day from 30 April to 2 May as follows:

  • The Theatre Academy’s main building Kookos will close at 6:00 p.m. on May Day Eve (30 April).
  • The buildings on the Sörnäinen campus will be closed to external visitors from 1–3 May.
  • The buildings on the Töölö campus will be closed to external visitors from 1–3 May.
  • R Building will be open due to the Chamber Music Weeks on Saturday 2 May from 10:00 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. and on Sunday 3 May from 1:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
  • At the Helsinki Music Centre, students’ access keys will stop working at 4:00 p.m. on May Day Eve, Thursday 30 April, to prevent May Day revelers from entering our facilities. The keys will function normally again on Friday 1 May.
