Please do not use the library’s drop box as a trash can

The library reminds that the drop boxes are only for returning material borrowed from the library, not trash cans. The boxes are clearly marked with their intended use. Still, we constantly must clean items such as coffee cups and ice cream sticks out of the boxes.

The photo shows the drop box at the Sörnäinen campus library on May 27, 2026. Among the books, we found, for example, a half-eaten package of cold cuts as well as numerous ice cream sticks.
