Summer closure of the library 2026

Helsinki campus libraries will be open for the last day before the summer closure on Thursday 18 June. All library units will reopen on Monday 10 August.

Please note that there are several exceptions to opening hours in June, and access to the Töölö campus library will be via Töölönlahdenkatu 16 C from 6 to 18 June.

Please make sure that you borrow the material you need during the summer well in advance. Loans do not expire during the summer closure.

If you have received an invoice for unreturned loans, do not pay it if you still have the material. Instead, return the material in August as soon as possible after reopening. You can also return items by post. In that case, the material remains your responsibility until it has been checked in by the library. Our postal address can be found on the library’s website. If the loans are lost, you can pay the invoice, but the loans will not be removed from your records until August. Unpaid invoices will not be transferred to collection during the summer closure.
