Orientation Programme: Strings and Chamber Music
Please take note that in addition to the events of these two weeks, the “Uniarts Helsinki as a learning environment” study unit includes the completion of the online course on Moodle as well as the second orientation day for all new Uniarts students, held on 14 September 2026.
The orientation period and the Moodle online course are mandatory for new bachelor’s students and recommended for new master’s students. The Moodle online course section “Copyright and the Agreement on the right to use works related to studies” is mandatory for all new students.
Orientation events recommended for exchange students, too, have been marked with an asterisk (*).

- Student tutors introduce themselves and talk about what tutoring is

After 16:00, students can join an optional picnic organised by the Student Union.

If you did not find the group – you can still search members for your chamber music group on this meeting. If your chamber music teacher is one of the Teachers-in-charge of chamber music, you will have a meeting on Mon 21.9. for the chamber music groups and the teachers beginning at 19.00 in the N-Building. The meeting is mandatory for all these groups! More information about the chamber music studies in the info-letter in August.

17-18.30 Orchestra information meeting, Camerata hall (Music Centre)*
In addition, on the same day, between 15-20 pm, your section will meet with the coordinating teacher to discuss recruitment for orchestra projects. The detailed schedule and room list will be sent in August 2026. This is a mandatory meeting for all students planning to participate in orchestra projects during the academic year 2026-27.
